In one of his classiest interviews yet, Jake lets loose in Australian Penthouse magazine to inquiries on regrets, working as a hostess, sumo, and just how hard it was to get those guys to review Yakuza 3.

I detect a trace of irony in that introduction. 🙂
Well, it is a classy interview if you consider “slightly sketchy” a class of interview, as in genre.
Not sure if Jake will read this but here goes;
I’m an 18 year old male finishing my last year of school in Australia, who heard your interview on Triple J radio a week or so ago. Having been studying Japanese at school for the past 6 years, I was immediately enticed by your book and rushed out (or made my mum rush out) to buy it.
I just put it down then. Throughout the whole book, I had to keep reminding myself that the book was based on (or is?) a true story.
Your story was truly inspiring. You have lived an amazing life, of that there is no doubt.
Wish you the best.
Well, I hope it inspired you not to do the same stupid things I did in the last seventeen years. 🙂 By the way, I really enjoyed the interview at Triple J Radio and being there. I spent part of my adolescence doing radio at a community radio station like that and it was a great experience. It taught me a lot about tolerance, negotiation, and responsibility. Thanks for reading the book and I wish you well.
