Two arrested in Sumida-ku child porn bust

Police found a cache of over 3,600 uncensored DVDs, including some containing child pornography, at a Sumida-ku apartment on January 12 after discovering the operation from fliers posted on the street in the neighborhood. A 36-year-old unemployed man and 25-year-old vocational school student, both Chinese nationals, were arrested in the bust.

Amongst the 3,640 DVDs found at the residence, 15 are believed to contain images of underage Japanese girls being molested. The pair were arrested for attempting to sell one DVD of an eight- or nine-year-old girl near JR Kinshicho station. Police are looking for more  individuals connected to the operation.
